By signing up and using this Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the entirety of this document as well as the related Terms and Conditions and are further bound to all the clauses in both agreements

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which ARL Technologies, Inc. dba Hopps ("Hopps", "We", "Us") collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from registered users ("User", "You", "Your", "you" and collectively Users) of the Platform ("Platform"), which is currently available for international use at https://www.hopps.io ("Website")

We reserve the right to make any changes to our privacy policy at any time, notice of which will be posted on this page.


Information collection

While using this Platform, We may collect personal information ("Personal Information") that you may voluntarily provide to us.

Information collected may include, but is not limited to:

  • full name
  • phone number
  • email address
  • an associated username
  • password
  • image, avatar, likeness

Besides Personal Information, We may also collect other information regarding your activity during your use of the Platform including, but not limited to: session duration, time between sessions, actions taken, log in time, log out time, and other behavioral data ("Usage Information").

Recordings

When you participate in a live video chat on the Platform, We will fully record the session, including anything featured in your camera’s field of view, which may include any content you make available via the session, as well as your image, likeness, voice and actions.

We record these sessions for clients to review after the session and for quality control purposes after a session is complete. We may use aggregated and anonymized data from these recorded sessions to improve our products and services and to disclose statistical data that does not identify you.

When using the Platform, meeting recordings, files, chat logs, and transcripts (“Customer Content”) are stored indefinitely by Hopps for the sole purpose of providing the best service and improving the platform.

Payments

When registering for the Platform and undergoing any financial transaction, you may be required to provide identity and payment information. We use Stripe, a third party processor, to process all financial transactions on the Platform. Accordingly, Stripe will collect, use, and process your information in accordance with their privacy policy, which may be accessed here.

Hopps does not collect or store your payment information in any way that identifies the payment method or related information.

Other information collected

Our servers may record information sent by your browser whenever you visit our Platform. This information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Computing device (type and location)
  • Cellular carrier
  • Internet protocol addresses (IP address)
  • Inbound tracking; the source (ad, social media channel or blog, search engine) which made you aware of our services

The Platform is not presently configured to support Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals from web browsers.

Information collected by experts

All Personal Information and any related information collected by experts during the course of an interaction remain entirely confidential between the established parties.

Any information collected by an expert from a client remains the intellectual property of the client, unless otherwise stated through communications.

Any information collected by a client from an expert beyond the scope of any undergoing work remains the intellectual property of the expert, unless otherwise stated through communications.

How we use collected information

Personal Information and Usage Information is collected for the primary purposes of:

  • Provide core and adjacent Platform services
  • Improve the Platform, functionality and experience
  • Better understand needs and interests of our Users
  • Provide or offer updates and product announcements
  • Assist third parties acting on our behalf

Emails and other notifications

We may send newsletters, emails, push notifications, text messages, and/or other communications to provide you with further information and offers from us and our partners that We believe you may find useful or interesting. You may unsubscribe from such emails by following embedded instructions or by emailing Hopps Support.

Should you provide us with a mobile number, you may receive text messages. If you elect to receive such text messages, your wireless carrier may impose charges for incoming and outgoing text messages. You may opt out of text messages by following the instructions in the text message, or by replying with STOP.

In the event that you opt-out of promotional communications and/or notifications, you may still receive transactional messages about your account activity on the Platform.

Service providers and other third-parties

We may share your Personal Information with:

  • Third party companies and individuals that facilitate or provide services for the Platform
  • Professional advisors and providers, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers

All aforementioned sharing will occur only when necessary in the delivery of professional services.

Combining data

On occasion, We might combine information collected from external providers (affiliated companies, partners, distributors, or outside vendors, and publicly available information) to market products, features or services that may be of interest to you. We might also use this combined information for research.

We will convert any and all Personal Information into anonymous, aggregated and de-identified data ("De-identified Data") by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable. We may also use this anonymous, aggregated or de-identified data and share it with third parties for lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the Platform.

Compliance with law enforcement

When deemed necessary or required by law, we may disclose your Personal Information to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties to:

  • Safeguard the rights, privacy, safety or property of our Users
  • Enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Platform
  • Protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity

Business Transfers

In the event of a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, Hopps may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets. Your Personal Information will most likely be transferred as part of that transaction. To the maximum extent allowable by law, the Privacy Policy will apply to the user information as transferred to the successor entity. However, user information submitted after a transfer to a successor entity may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.

Security

Hopps takes the security of your Personal Information seriously. We will employ reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access and unsolicited contact from third party groups.

You are responsible for safeguarding and preventing unauthorized access to user information and the password used to access our Platform. You are responsible for any activity using your account whether or not You authorize that activity and you agree not to hold Hopps or anyone affiliated with Hopps responsible for any unauthorized use of your account.

For users outside the United States of America

The Platform is hosted on servers located in the United States. If you are a user accessing the Platform from the European Union, Australia, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, please know that you are transferring your personal data to the United States, which may not have the same data protection laws as such other regions. You are thereby consenting to the application of United States law in all matters concerning the Platform and any services offered or provided.

Updates to this policy

If We make any changes to this Privacy Policy, We will post a notice on the website notifying users of the changes. In some cases, We also may send an email notifying users of these changes.
