Filling out the request form

Filling out the request form accurately and completely is an important part of the request process. It ensures you receive complete and well-thought out proposals.

Who do you want to work with?

This option defaults to Best Available Expert and will guide the algorithm to request proposals from experts tailored to provide the help you need.

Once you have worked with at least one expert, a new option labeled I want to work with expert(s) I have worked with or follow will appear, and you will be able to choose from one or more of those experts to send your task request to.

What do you need help with?

One of the most important fields in this form, help topics listed here will change based on whether you want to work with the Best available expert or a previously used one:

  • If you choose to work with one of the best available experts, you will be shown only Hopps Help® topics. Experts for these topics have been certified and vetted to provide help for their topic.

  • If you choose to work with an existing expert, you will only be shown help topics that they can provide help for. Any Hopps Help® topic will be labeled with the word "Certified".

Is this a one-time task?

This gives the expert some insight into how often you need to complete this task, and whether it's part of a larger or recurring project.

When do you need it done by?

This gives the expert some insight into whether they can take on the project, as well as giving some guidelines towards a due date.

Do you have a budget?

If there is a budget that you are aware of for this task, please note it here to receive proposals that are close in range to your expected cost. If you are not sure, please choose "I am not sure".

This field can be left blank but is useful to share more context around the work that needs to be done. Important links include Loom links describing the task, related websites, or even documents (Google Docs, Sheets, etc) that can describe objectives in more detail.

Describe the work needed

Provide a detailed description of what needs to be done. Include any relevant information that would help build context for an expert such as:

  • Integrations with other involved / linked services
  • Goals or examples of what you are trying to achieve

The detail you provide here will have the biggest impact in receiving great proposals.

Attachments

Please attach any files related to your project that the expert may need to make an accurate proposal. These uploads will be shared with any expert providing a proposal for your work, so please do not share account credentials or potentially sensitive / confidential information.
